Went there and had a starter (a fine carrot soup) and main course (lamb - pretty red). Both were really good, and the service was friendly (my limited knowledge of French food was helpfully supplemented with some English translation of the menu by the waiter).
The place was a bit cold, but I guess gas is expensive in Paris.
Decor nice and French - nothing posh or fake. -

A lovely corner cafe just around the corner from Notre Dames de La Croix. The atmosphere on the corner of a quiet part of Belleville is relaxing and the service is very friendly. I did not get a chance to try the food, but is popular with the locals, which is always a good sign. Very clean and nicely appointed as well. Just don't walk down the dead-end street beyond it, beaucoup des merdes de chien, mon dieu!
